Using burasagariBurasagari allows single-byte periods, double-byte periods, single-byte commas, and double-byte commas to fall outside the paragraph bounding box. To turn on or turn off burasagari: Choose one of the following options from the Paragraph palette menu: None Disables Japanese hanging punctuations when a Kinsoku set is in effect. Kinsoku Shori can still cause push-in or push-out behavior but does not hang Burasagari characters on or immediately outside the text frame. Burasagari Standard Is the default Burasagari option. The Standard option enables Japanese hanging punctuations but allows Burasagari characters to hang as little as possible. With the Standard option, the behavior varies whether the line is justified or nonjustified. Burasagari Strong Enables Japanese hanging punctuation but forces the punctuation outside of the text frame when it needs to hang, regardless of the justification or alignment setting. A hanging punctuation will never be placed on the text frame as in Burasagari Standard. Also, the position of the hanging punctuation can cause a slight expansion, even for nonjustified text. |
